What we collect

We process the name and email you submit, authentication credentials in protected form, verification and session records, workspace membership, and account settings. A workspace can contain brands, public page URLs, research notes, source snapshots, observed differences, and collection-run diagnostics.

Our servers may process basic technical records needed for security and operation, such as request time, IP address, user agent, and error information. If you start a paid subscription, Razorpay handles checkout and payment authorization; Clueotter stores subscription identifiers and status, not complete card numbers.

Why we use it

We use this information to create and secure accounts, verify email addresses, provide the workspace, collect selected public website pages, show changes and exports, administer subscriptions, answer support requests, and prevent abuse. We do not claim to measure a competitor’s revenue, conversion rate, or advertising spend from a page change.

Essential authentication cookies or equivalent session storage keep you signed in. This pilot does not intentionally use advertising-tracking cookies. If analytics or marketing trackers are added, this notice and the relevant choices must be updated first.

04 / 08

Service providers and transfers

The implementation can use Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL for app data, Resend for transactional email, Google for optional sign-in, Razorpay for payment checkout, and infrastructure providers for hosting and queued work. A provider receives only the data needed for its role. Provider configuration and data-region choices must be checked before production launch; this notice does not promise that data stays in India.

We may disclose information where a valid legal obligation applies or to protect the service, subject to applicable law. We do not describe workspace research data as being sold.

05 / 08

Retention and deletion

Account, workspace, and source records are retained while needed to operate the service and meet applicable obligations. A production retention schedule, deletion workflow, and backup-expiry policy are not yet finalized. Until those are implemented and published, this notice is a pre-launch draft and must not be treated as a completed deletion commitment.

06 / 08

Your choices and requests

You can review some account and workspace information in the product. For access, correction, deletion, consent-related questions, or a privacy complaint, contact the operator at the verified support or grievance address above once published. We will evaluate requests under the law applicable when received and any legal retention requirements.

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its 2025 Rules have phased commencement. As of 24 October 2026, the principal processing and individual-rights provisions are scheduled to take effect later; this notice does not imply those provisions are already operative. We will update the notice and request process as obligations commence.

07 / 08

Security and age

We use account verification, access controls, database protections, and collection safeguards appropriate to the current pilot. No internet service can promise absolute security. Clueotter is intended for professional users aged 18 or older and is not designed as a children’s service.

08 / 08

Changes and legal references

Material changes to this notice should be communicated before they take effect where law requires. The publication date and version must be set when the operator approves the final notice.

Relevant primary sources: Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, 2025 commencement notification, DPDP Rules, 2025, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
