OUR DATA APPROACH

Observation first. Interpretation second.

Clueotter keeps source evidence separate from calculations and hypotheses so you know what a signal can—and cannot—support.

THE DETAILS03 POINTS TO KNOW
01

Observed

A difference between two successful snapshots of a selected public page, with collection time and source URL.

02

Calculated

Counts and trends derived from the records actually collected in a workspace.

03

Inferred

A possible explanation or campaign idea. It is labeled as an interpretation, not established fact.

READ THE RECORD

A timestamp is a collection time, not a publication date.

We can show when our collector successfully observed a page. We cannot know exactly when the publisher changed it between scans.

01 / SOURCEWhere

Keep the exact public URL and the selected page in view.

02 / OBSERVATIONWhat and when

Compare successful snapshots and record their collection times.

03 / JUDGMENTWhat it may mean

Label explanations and recommendations as hypotheses until tested.
